I learned a while ago that the more important the phone call, the louder Noah gets. And it’s completely intentional. When I pick up the phone, he jumps on his loud riding toys, pretends to vacuum, or just plain yells. So I started telling him before I pick up the phone that he needs to be quiet while I’m talking. To my surprise, it worked!
Then today, Noah was talking on his toy phone. I wasn’t talking, but he turned to me anyway and said,
“Be quiet, Mommy, I’m on the phone!
Ok Gramma and Pappy, you want to come over to my house? Okay, bye!
All done now, Mommy, you can talk now.”
